Half-Million Dollar Half Court Shot Comes Up Short [VIDEO]

If you are off to a rough start this week, at least you didn't miss out on a half a million dollars!

Scott Park had a chance to make a half-mill by making a half court shot at a Notre Dame v. Duke game on Saturday. He came up short, the crowd let out a disappointed "awwww," and then the video went viral.

Before you laugh at this guy's shot, there is something you should know… He suffers from a rare blood disorder called Catastrophic Antiphospholipid Syndrome, or CAPS. At one point, his organs were basically giving up on him.

He said in an interview he doesn't mind the ribbing he is getting online, maybe it's because he had already won an all expenses paid trip to the ACC Tournament, and the shot was an extra bonus.

This reminds me of the one time at the Chiefs game when I was yelling at someone getting smoked in the tricycle races in between innings. I found out after he made the turn that he had a prosthetic leg. Boy did I feel like a real a-hole.
