When you really want to throat-punch someone at work, it’s probably time for a vacation!
When your boss asks you to work a few extra hours and you tell them to, “Kiss my a$$!” It’s probably time to take a vacation.
When you put your un-cashed paycheck in the paper shredder because you were tired, you should probably take a day (or two).
Lets face it, we are all over worked and underpaid. It’s the American way. I have pretty much used all of my vacation days with my radio gig to go work for Monster Jam (my part-time job). And while I have been all over the United States this year, I haven’t had much me time. Like, none really.
While I am ok with that for the time being, I am ready for a few vacay days.
Health.com put a list together of ten signs you should use a vacation day, and I have felt pretty much all of these things. Except for losing sleep. If I am not sleeping, it’s because I hopefully had an awesome nap earlier in the day. For the most part, I don’t let anything interrupt my sleep.
If you missed the Morning Grind #HotTopic, here is a list of six of the ten reasons you should use a vacation day (or days) according to Health.com:
1. Every little problem feels like a huge issue.
2. Your coworkers keep asking if you feel okay.
3. You’ve been making more mistakes than usual.
4. You have more aches and pains than normal.
5. You’re having trouble sleeping.
6. You’re feeling overly cynical about your job.
You can read more about it here.
