Lebron James Is Most Likely Starring In Space Jam Sequel

The rumor mill is running folks and star basketball player Lebron James could be in a sequel to the hit 90s movie Space Jam.

“Lebron James has one of the most powerful, well-known brands in the world and we are excited to be in business with him and his partner, Maverick Carter, and SpringHill Entertainment,” Warner Bros. CEO and Chairman Kevin Tsujihara said Wednesday.

Alex Weprin, a senior editor at Capital New York, found evidence of Warner Bros. filing new trademarks dating back a month ago, which further confirms that a sequel is on the way.

As a 90s baby and huge fan of Space Jam, I must admit I have some mixed feelings about this. Space Jam is such a nostalgic classic to me that I am unsure about a new storyline starring someone other than Michael Jordan. I mean come on; no one could have saved the Looney Tunes from those big, bad Monstars like MJ did. Mike has six rings. Lebron only has two. I don’t think he’s ready to save our beloved Tune Squad from another alien invasion on the court.

At any rate, we will just have to wait patiently for Warner Bros. to work their magic and hope for the best. I would totally be down to watch and hope to see more players than Lebron involved in the film.
