Kristin’s Thirst for Brains Was Quenched

On my way into work this morning, I ran through Starbucks because I had a thirst for brains the Zombie Frappuccino. Yes, the rumored drink was released yesterday, and shockingly, either they stocked up with more supplies this time than they did for the unicorn frap, or not as many people are rushing to the Bux to get it!.

For one, as you can see in my Instagram below… it IS an Insta-worthy drink. It starts mostly green but whatever they put on top of the drink, under the whip starts to “bleed” down the sides in a creepy, red way.

As far as the taste…. that depends. My first sip was a little shocking. I don’t know what I was expecting but it that first sip made me wince. A few more sips in, you really start to taste the green apple. It tastes like those caramel apple suckers, and idk who you are, those are awesome. Then, when you get to the “bleeding” part, you get a shot of chocolate. The rest of the drink is a swirl of green apple in chocolate that the only way I can describe is… well… you know when you were little. and you got home from trick-or-treating, ready to indulge in your sugar coma… and you’d eat one of those caramel apple suckers…. then you finished and moved onto a Snickers bar, but the apple taste was still hanging around in your mouth? And somehow that odd combo of caramel apple and snickers just tasted like…. Halloween? THAT’s what I’d say it tastes like.

You’ve gotta give it to the Frap-Chefs at Starbucks, they can really capture a holiday into a drink.

What mythical creature gets a drink next? Santa? The Santa frapp? Would it taste like cookies? Or a bowl full of Jelly? Nope. Too early for Christmas. I’mma go indulge in some more candy!
