It had been rumored for a while that we would get a new track from Eminem. And when it did drop, no one expected to hear Beyonce on the hook for “Walk On Water.”

If you haven’t heard it yet, it’s definitely not the out of the box, in your face, rhyme slaying delivery everyone was expecting.

The song has a more low key vibe, with very powerful lyrics from a guy who has matured in front of our eyes, and knows where he came from.

And, according to a recent interview, Eminem’s inspiration for this song was mumble rap.

It’s clear. It’s tight. It’s… simple. And the end of the song makes me think the track that follows this on the album will come out of the box like a WWE wrestler running to the ring for the Royal Rumble!

Rumors are swirling that the album drops Friday. Who knows? But, he is slated to perform on SNL this Saturday with Chance the Rapper hosting. Maybe, they have a collab they will debut this weekend too!?!?!?! #WishfulThinking
