In Hawaiian, “Maka Maka” means “friend.” At Maui Jim, it means a 3-mile fun run/1.5 mile walk to benefit the Peoria Friendship House. All proceeds go to Friendship House which helps people in Peoria with services such as a soup kitchen, food pantry, tutoring and mentoring for at risk youth, teaching English, providing supplies for mothers and babies and Dress for Success Peoria.
