Kristin is Trying to Lose Weight… Again.

I started round THREE of the Riverplex Xtreme program, and maybe 3rd time is the charm? The first two rounds this year were almost back to back, which was great as I was STRUGGLING to get myself to work out, so having two 8-week sessions back to back got me into the groove. The second round ended in May and with the exception of a couple weeks here and there, I’ve made it to the gym at least a couple times a week all summer. I got into a groove of going to classes I really liked, and I feel stronger for it! What really tipped the scales in my direction (habit-wise, not actual scale-wise) was the fact that I remembered the last time I was really in shape, I kicked it off by going to the gym every single day for 30 days in a row. So I challenged myself, posted about it on social media for accountability, and accomplished working out every single day for 30 days!

So round three wasn’t about getting back into the habit of working out, I’m totally there… but my eating. EEESH!! I hate to cook. Absolutely hate it. Fast food is SO easy, but it’s so hard to find healthy options. And sometimes you just want to binge on a whole pizza while watching Netflix. So I need to get into the habit of meal-prepping and healthy eating in the next 8 (well, now 7) weeks, and I have NOT done so well so far… if I’m focusing on the good, I have, at least, logged all my bad habits, but I haven’t started in the “good habit” direction!

Real talk: My kitchen is currently a mess. I HATE doing dishes so they just kind of hang out dirty in the sink until I get sick of looking at them. I always use the excuse that I’m too tired, I’m not in the mood, that I am too busy, or “I don’t eat at home much anyway.” And more real talk, THAT is more of a depression problem! I just started counseling, but that’s for another post. But my messy kitchen is my excuse not to even TRY cooking anything easy!

I’m considering trying Eat and Evolve, especially since we still have that Sweet Deal available for it to save some money… but other than that, I don’t know what to do to eat healthier and get into better habits! Any ideas? Email me!
