I will never forget watching Janelle James on open mic nights at the Jukebox Comedy Club! A, because she was hilarious. And B, there was just something special.
Sometimes, you can see it in people. They know it’s there too. And she did. Her swagger on stage was untouchable, while talking about how much her brother loves getting his “azz ate!” I couldn’t stop laughing, because as crass as the joke was, it was great!
While I’m not sure when #AzzEatinSZN is, I do know she is going to bring the funny this weekend!
For those who haven’t heard of her, here are a few of her recent highlights:
– Had “Janelle James Comedy Festival” in Brooklyn with David Cross, Amy Schumer, Cathrine Cohen, and MORE.
– Released comedy album “Black and Mild
– Toured with Chris Rock and Amy Schumer
– Netflix Comedy Special released in August of 2018
– Staff Writer on “The Rundown”
– Named “50 Most Funny People in Brooklyn” in 2016
Catch her TONIGHT on Late Night with Seth Meyers. And THEEEEEN, catch her this weekend at the Jukebox Comedy Club!
Seriously, this is amazing. And I can say I am proud to watch someone as talented as her go from the stages of comedy clubs in central Illinois to being on track to become the biggest name in comedy in a long time!
Congrats Janelle! If you need an opener, ORyan is available.
