The father in me is troubled with the news about Ravante Ward drowning in the Illinois River. My wife and I are looking for a great daycare, and this definitely shakes up the search.
I try to put myself in the Ward family’s shoes, and it eats me alive to think about losing my boy. It’s like there is a hole in my chest cavity that just implodes like a black hole. I can’t imagine getting news about my son passing away.
My thoughts are with the Ward family. I am sorry that you lost your son so soon.

Ravante Ward was playing at the playground by the Riverplex, downtown Peoria, and wandered over to the river where his body was found un-responsive.
