There is something about the central Illinois comedy scene that is starting to make it’s way out into the rest of the world. Comedian Janelle James from Champaign has been opening for Amy Schumer… She recently performed at the Jukebox too. Up next, is Metamora native Jeff Bailey.
At a first glance, you might not take a guy like Jeff Bailey seriously. That is, until he gets a microphone in his hand. THEN, you will realize you were a judgey prick… but it’s too late because you can’t stop laughing.
Jeff is a genuine guy who loves to tell jokes and… smoke pot. He is the self-proclaimed “King of Weed.” So, that might give you an idea of some of the jokes he will be telling.
I have spent plenty of time with Jeff on the road to open mic nights and at the Jukebox Comedy Club (where he won the local comedy tournament in 2013). He is a great guy and I am so pumped to see him get a headlining opportunity this weekend at the Jukebox Comedy Club. This is actually his 4th time headlining at the Jukebox.
